Terms of Service

These terms explain the rules for using Fimcast. We've written them in plain English. By creating an account, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Fimcast.

1. Who can use Fimcast

• You must give us accurate information, including your real name and a phone number you control.
• You must be 18 or over to use Fimcast. We don't accept profiles for actors under 18 at the moment.
• One person, one account. Don't create accounts for other people without their permission.
• You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done with your account.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post fake castings, misleading roles, or castings that ask actors to pay to audition.
• Harass, threaten, or exploit anyone you meet through Fimcast, on or off the platform.
• Ask for sexual content, nudity, or anything illegal as part of an audition.
• Scrape, copy, or resell profiles or castings, or use them for anything other than casting.
• Impersonate another person, production company, or brand.
• Try to break, overload, or get around the security of the platform.

3. Your content

You own everything you upload: your photos, self-tapes, bio, and casting briefs. By uploading, you give Fimcast permission to store, display, and share that content on the platform so it can do its job (for example, showing your profile to producers or your casting to actors). This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except where someone else already received it as part of an application.

You promise that you have the right to upload what you upload, and that it doesn't break anyone else's rights.

4. Upload guidelines

Producers need to trust what they see. So headshots and self-tapes must be:

• Real, recent photos and videos of you.
• Free of filters, heavy retouching, Photoshop edits, or AI generation.
• Live performances recorded by you, not digitally altered.

We may remove content that breaks these guidelines, and repeated or deliberate breaches can lead to your account being suspended.

5. Castings and applications

Fimcast connects actors and producers, but we are not a party to any agreement between you. We don't employ actors, guarantee roles, or guarantee that producers will pay. Always agree terms in writing before work begins. Report anything suspicious to us.

6. Suspending or closing accounts

We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, if:

• you break these terms or the upload guidelines;
• we receive credible reports of fraud, harassment, or abuse;
• we're required to by law.

Where reasonable, we'll tell you why. You can delete your account at any time from Settings.

7. Limits on our liability

We work hard to keep Fimcast running and safe, but we provide it "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses caused by other users, by castings or jobs arranged through Fimcast, or by the platform being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under Nigerian law.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. If changes are significant, we'll let you know by email or in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Questions? Email support@fimcast.com. See also our Privacy Policy.
